Ok…What Can I Call This One?? Just Rambling a Bit…

Do you really want to know what happened to me today? Ok…you are going to laugh right along with me here — or at least I think you are anyway. I had gotten up early this morning for practically nothing! With my last week being filled with activity from Wednesday – Saturday, I do have to admit that I got my Monday mixed up with my Wednesday this week. Yes, I sure did! I personally thought that I had an appointment at 10 a.m. this morning with my DVR counselor and Community Solutions and at 9:45 a.m., ten minutes after getting there, I had learned that my 10 a.m. appointment was not until 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 19th! Seriously! I had a very blonde moment and it was a tad bit embarrassing but laughable all at the same time. I got up at 8 a.m. this morning, or a few minutes before my alarm went off and got dressed for an appointment that was not to happen until Wednesday morning! How crazy is that one? Yes, I am excited about looking for work after finally finishing college that I was literally two days ahead of myself. The thought of, after getting back home and the afternoon rolled on in, the fact that I had exercised for the day and realized that the weather was a tad bit colder than it proved to be like the few days and the weekend. It was cold this morning and it sure felt like winter had come back and boy was I glad that I had chosen to wear one of my wknter jackets! It was downright cold at 17 degrees! What happened to Spring? Did it take a slight detour or something? Dang! Oh well.

Well, despite my little oops, I do have to admit that I had a very good day all day long. I had, because of that oops, time to snuggle with good ol’ Bing Crosby this afternoon, take an unexpected nap, and then go down to our St. Patrick’s Day Potluck supper in Teamster Manor. I believe the unexpected, ten to twenty minute nap came about because I had gotten some fresh air this morning and had exercised my legs and bones. They are a tad bit on the sore side but their ok. Bones and legs could be better, though. Anyway, if i did not get startled awake to my CP jerks and romping of Bing’s playtime, I would have probably overslept right through potluck. I have done that before a couple of years ago when I had overslept through to when the bus came to take all of us on our yearly Christmas Lights tour with Van Galder Bus Lines. Luckily, Bing woke me up with his playtime. Any other time Bing romps and plays, like at 2 a.m. in the morning when I am sleeping or trying to sleep, that’s a whole different story, lol. Thanks, Bing…for waking me up “Little Man!”

Potluck was good. Because today is St. Patricks Day, we had corned beef and cabbaage and other goodies, we celebrated St. Patricks Day with several other tenants. It was a fine turn out and the food was very good. Even the conversation and time with other tenants was worth it. Too bad good things have to come to an end! I did not stay very long after everyone had finished eating but the time spent was fun and exciting, and the food was good. I love corned beef and cabbage!

After potluck I had come back to my apartment and have stayed home ever since. I had watched some taped programs on my DVR system and dozed off again, being awakened by a phone call — no big deal but I was not in the mood to really talk much. I wanted to go back to sleep but couldn’t have the phone call so I watched more of my taped programs on my DVR and cuddled with Bing. At 10:30 p.m. for a while I decided to get online and see what was happening and come here for a few minutes. Not much going on online right now. Another friend called at 10:30 p.m. since she saw that I was online.

Well…I think I will go for now and come back later tomorrow sometime. I think I am going to try to go back to sleep … if that is even possible now that I feel so wide awake and tired at the same time, lol. I personally think, as well, that this is the first time in a long time I have written a long journal entry.
