I have always looked forward to going to the eye doctor ever since I have made some improvements in my eyesight, but that did not really begin until I was ready t have my cataracts removed in 2001 and 2006. I got to know a couple of eye doctors during the years of 1989 to the present day, and today, my eye appointment was in regard to my eye surgery that I had last June 2007, when my eyes were straightened because I am a young adult with strabismus due to my physical condition cerebral palsy. Without disclosing the doctors who saw me today, I can definitely say that my appointment with both doctors was a good. I was even, seriously enough, happy to see that my eyes did change enough, slightly of course, to get a new prescription for glasses. The really good part of the appointment was that my eyes cooperated and did what they were supposed to do when I looked left, right, up, down, and straight ahead. The doctor who did the surgery last year, bless his soul, saw the wonderful work he did a year later (June 7, 2008, official day of course), was still great in his own eyes. The doctor I have known even since I was 18 1/2 years old even told me my eyes were beautiful and I could not disagree with him at all. SMILE … From 2001 – 2006 I could not have agreed with him entirely because of the fact that my right eye wandered outward so much that I never really saw how beautiful both eyes looked at the same time. Now I have to admit that having both eyes looking straight ahead, seeing both brown eyes looking at me in the mirror is an awesome feeling. Will my eyes wander or turn in again? It is possible due to the fact that I have cerebral palsy. To be honest here, I do have to admit that I feel different cosmetically as well made me feel so much better emotional when it comes to my brown eyes.
