July 3–Dialysis Update & My Birthday Celebration

Dialysis Update

Well, it did not go very well today. The fact is that dialysis units all over the nation has a Cathflo shortage and it was not put in on Monday. Oh my goodness gracious this is not going to go very well for a while. This is not making me happy. I had to leave around 1:30 PM because the dialysis machine was not allowing my catheter to work today. They were able to give me some medicine that is another Cathflo brand and sent me home to watch my fluid intake, my sodium and potassium intake. Will wait and see what happens on Friday, July 5th.

My Birthday Celebration

I had my birthday celebration today with Deb and Jackie here I had pasta salad and chicken on a stick with chili lime flavoring. Ate the chicken and a couple of bites. What happened today at dialysis threw my stomach into a state of tightness where I was choking on the salad fixings so Deb put the pasta salad in a bowl with a cover and put it in the refrigerator. I will have more of the pasta salad tomorrow for the holiday.

I had a cupcake for dessert. Apparently, Jackie and Deb found chocolate and vanilla cupcakes with red, white, and blue frosting. The meal was delicious, and the cupcake was devoured within minutes of eating it. I went to my bedroom without any problems after lunch, and got settled. 👍🏻❤️ It was a nice celebration.

Jackie got me new two pairs of shorts while Deb got me a shirt. My mom got me a t-shirt that says Cat Mom and she had put my Magic and Millie’s name on it as well as my first two cats Emilee and Bing. The only thing she had trouble with was putting on my first two cats’ names in a specific order. However, the order, I can easily explain who who was. Emilee was my first cat, then Bing, then Magic for the first 3 years and then Millie are my now kitties. Emilee lived for sixteen years, seven months, and two weeks. Bing lived with me for 14 years, but was 15 when he died. Magic was adopted on October 6, 2020, and he was 5 months old and now is 4 years old, Millie was adopted on December 9, 2023 at 5 months and now is 1 year old. I love my gifts.
