After Christmas Thoughts

Good evening. Christmas is now over and the celebration is over until the New Year. Anyway, I stayed home for Christmas this year due to the fact that the idea of celebrating was somewhat difficult since Emilee passed away in November. Missing her has left a void in my life that made me realize that having another female cat right now is not the best idea for me right now. Emilee was one of my pride and joys of my life and one day soon, I will have another pride and joy in my life.

Even though the idea of celebrating Christmas was not in my idea of fun, I did have fun after all celebrating Christmas with friends and their families this year after all. The idea of being alone for the holiday was not in the books of my friends even though it was not in my book this year. Christmas was wonderful anyway.

God works in mysterious ways!

I know how hard it is to lose a cat. I had to give away Oliver when I moved. I still miss him from time to time, but I’ve heard he’s doing good and has adjusted to his new home. I know someday soon you’ll find another cat to love just as much as you loved Emilee. God bless and have a very Happy New Year.

When you are ready for a new cat, you’ll know. Cat lovers never can seem to do without for very long, even after the loss of a dear fuzzy. And you never know – a cat may choose you. It does happen from time to time. 🙂

"Another cat? Perhaps. For love there is also a season; its seeds must be resown. But a family cat is not replaceable like a wornout coat or a set of tires. Each new kitten becomes its own cat, and none is repeated. I am four cats old, measuring out my life in friends that have succeeded but not replaced one another." ~ Irving Townsend
