Even though this is only Thursday, I have some catching up to do since the 21st of January. I have not been writing in my diary as much as I had planned for the 2018 year so that is going to be a work in progress to this very day. My week has gone fairly well…well enough to be comfortable and very happy.
On January 21, 2018, in the evening, I had my cable DVR box unhooked and went directly to the cable TV’s app on Roku and since that evening, I have really enjoyed the app very much. The TV is still here…just not the cable DVR box. I am glad to be using my Roku every day now than just once in a while during the month. It has been a pleasant week with the Spectrum TV app and I am very, very happy.
Monday was a busy day. I had services through Santee Home Health in the morning with DK, and then IRIS/iLife with DB. Before DB got here, I got the kitchen table cleared off, the dehumidifier filled with water, and began working on my desk that needed some decluttering. Once again, three days later, my desk needs to be decluttered again, lol. Another project for Monday I guess. The weekend is just about here.
On Tuesday, I took a day off from my cell phone from Monday night, all day Tuesday, and part of Wednesday. Tuesday was cell phone-free day for me. Did I get a lot done? No, but I did have a good day reading. I love to read, write, and snuggle/cuddle with Bing Crosby the cat. Also, I did have IRIS with DK.
Wednesday is my semi-busy day. I have had personal cares with DK through Santee Home Health in the morning and DK stayed for a while to be with me for IRIS/iLife. I did not do much on Wednesday except wait patiently for 6:15 PM to roll around because Wednesday nights is Bible study/Prayer meeting nights. At the end of February Pastor Van will be retiring and Bible study/prayer meetings will be different or cancelled for a while unless the Beloit church continues the meetings on Thursday nights. We will have to wait and see. It is going to be a change for many of us with Pastor Van retiring. I am doing my very best at not letting his retirement get to me because I feel very close to him and his wife, and the rest of the family.
Now, we get to today…Thursday. Today I had my personal cares with DK through Santee Home Health, and then DB came to work for me through IRIS/iLife. It has been a fairly quiet day and my Roku was on a lot today to watch Young and the Restless, Dr. Phil, a couple of episodes of the X Files on Demand, and two to three episodes of the 1st season of Criminal Minds on Netflix. I also did a lot of reading and ordered out for supper this evening. Now, it is time to say good night and rest for another new day for Friday, January 26, 2018. I have personal cares in the morning with DK through Santee Home Health and then I have an appointment at 2:30 PM for a med check with HL at Genesis Counseling Services. I am going to say good night and God bless.
