Curb

I have gotten a call from my dad this afternoon and we are indeed getting together on Tuesday for our Christmas.  I wonder what my dad will bring up in conversation like he did before hanging up with me.  He talked about my weight again!  It is so discouraging and demeaning to me.  He did this to my mother while they were married and now, he is doing it to me!  I have kept my end of the bargain and have not called Dad since he got back from PA. It feels really good not calling my dad and now when he calls me, he can call me and be pleasant.  Not calling my dad is kind of hard, but I have been able to curb my calls for now.  We will have to wait and see what Tuesday’s “Christmas” visit will bring since it is not here yet.
