The Perfect Day

I have not done a lot of writing these days. With the Coronavirus pandemic still rampant in the U.S., I do have to admit that I am getting restless. All I can do right now is go to dialysis three times a week. I wear a mask everywhere I go outside my apartment.

Today there was a change in how things went. Yet, to write a dialysis update in my Life On Dialysis for the past two weeks and this new week, today was a dialysis day. I had treatment, and by 12:15 PM, I was out, and DKF and I ran a couple of errands. We spent the afternoon out in the sun by having lunch at one of our parks, go to the bank to get money for laundry, and then go to the KIA dealership to replace a part that was recalled. After the dealership, DKF went to McDonald’s to get some cookies, then took me home for the rest of the afternoon and evening.
Today’s outing brought some normalcy into this sheltered lady in me. My restlessness has been relieved for now.

It is time for me to close and lock up the shop for the night. Another day has come and gone. It was a beautiful day. It felt terrific to get some walking even though after dialysis, I am a little tired, weaker, and slower in moving. Despite treatment, this walking outside in a park and waiting for DKF’s vehicle to be taken care of has done me right. I got some exercise in. It felt terrific. I got over 300 steps in my day – almost 400 steps in one day. I am proud of myself in a sensible way. Anyway…

Good night and God bless.
