Cookout

IDS (Independent Disabilities Services) had a cookout today at 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. today for the clients and IDS workers, and it was absolutely fun. We had hamburgers or hotdogs, potato salad, chips, fruit cups, water or lemonade, rice krispies treats, crackers, and gum. Everyone, who wanted, could have seconds. I had two hamburgers, two servings of potato salad, and two fruit cups. It was delicious — fun. We had Bingo, Boochie (sp??) Ball, and Ladder Ball to play, and I played one game of Bingo and a couple of games of Ladder Ball. It was FUN!!!! I am glad to be back home, though. I had taken my karaoke machine with but no one wanted to play so it was all by itself all the time. I think, next year, I will not bring it along. I was somewhat disappointed but I got over it very quickly and got involved into something else. We did have a wonderful turn out and had a good time … away from Teamster Manor for a couple of hours anyway. Always glad to be home after awhile, though. Came back home, to a place that needs to be organized all over again! Dang! Ambition is NEEDED!
