Out and About…
Today was one of those days that I got out and about for the 1st time in a long time on the city bus. IDS (Independent Disabilities Services) had an outing today to a place called Noodles & Company – a free lunch and tour of the company on how each and every meal is prepared. Anyway, I got on the bus for the 1st time in 3 to 5 years and it was an experience I have known would have happened sooner or later and today was the day. It was kind of iffy in regard to the weather at sight but it did not rain hard – just spit a bit. I left for my 1st bus ride at 12:30 p.m. and got to Noodles & Company by 1:30 – 1:45 p.m., finding which client was also a to be a part of the outing. I got home around 4:30 – 5 p.m. The experience on the bus was an experience that gave me mixed feelings but I survived the experience and found home a very nice place to come back to.
