The Last Day of January 2019

The last day of January 2019, until January 2020. Where did this month go minus the 9 days I was in the hospital?  The month of January has gone by very quickly.  Does this happen as we get older.  I am 48 years old and I do not feel 48 – not exactly younger this week, either.  To be very honest, I feel much older … 90ish!  It took 9 days for the swelling of my feet, ankles, and legs to leave out of my system after being put on fluids for 7 out of 9 days!  I am so looking forward to getting back to church after not being there for 3 weeks out of the entire month of January because I was not feeling good and finally was sick enough to be hospitalized.  Now that I am back home, I get back into the swing of things such as personal cares with DKF and MC and getting out now that February is starting tomorrow.  Good bye to January 2019 in a short while.  I will be heading to bed in a few minutes as I am getting tired.  I am looking forward to the Sabbath arriving.

Today was a fair day.  The temperatures outside was arctic cold and schools were closed for the past two days. Having temperatures below zero with the wind chill at -51 or better, is nothing to laugh about around here in Wisconsin.  I have been watching the 5 o’clock news and there have been deaths reported the past couple of days because of the arctic cold temps.  From the weather report, we are expecting temperatures to warm up again over the weekend with rain in the mix.  I can handle the rain, but only so much.  I stayed indoors where it was warmer even though the cold weather was seeping into my warm apartment.  I even asked the on-site manager about the pipes getting so cold that they freeze yesterday, and she said we should be okay.  I have my heat set at 75 degrees.  I am glad I have an electric blanket that was given to me by DKF whose husband said I could have it since he did not use it.  I am staying warm in the arctic cold temperatures we have been having.  It has been very comfortable.

With another day spent watching TV, reading, playing games on my iPhone, and snuggling up with Bing Crosby the Cat, I can now say it is almost time to close January 2019 and go to bed.  I am getting tired and tomorrow being Friday, I can continue with my routine starting over on a new day.  February 1 is soon coming.  I am going to say good night now.
