It Has Been A While

I know it has been a while since I have written my diary. It has been either busy or time just flew by. I have been having dialysis every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday like clockwork. I have been having dialysis as an outpatient since May 7, 2019. I have been having some issues with the catheter but the nurses and techs know what they are doing. On July 12, 2019 I had a procedure done to have a fistula placement but when I woke up I had learned that I had a graft placed instead. So, since July 12, 2019, my arm has been healing. The graft was placed in my right arm. So please excuse my absence. I am still waiting to see how my arm heals when I see the doctor July 31, 2018.

On July 17, 2019 I had gotten a call from DKF’s husband SF telling me that she was not feeling good and needed to rest. I had gotten a call before noon and DKF was calling me to let me know that she was going to the hospital emergency room. It was not too lawn after the phone call I had gotten a text stating that she was going to be admitted into the hospital. SF had called me too let me know that they were going To be doing some tests to find out what was going on with DKF. He also said that they will keep me updated.  As the day continued, DKF texted me telling me that she had E. coli in her urine stating that there was a UTI. As more tests were done she found out that she has E. coli in her blood as well. As sick as she was it could’ve killed her if she did not call to the ER to get checked out. As of this morning she is hoping that the doctors will discharge her either Monday or Tuesday of this week. She and her husband we’re supposed to be on vacation and in Michigan for the week but she is spending the time in the hospital getting better with antibiotics. The thought of losing DKF has, crossed my mind more than once since I have learned that she could have died. I have left DKF’s illness and care in her doctor’s care as well as in God’s hands. So far I have not Heard that things were getting worse for her.

As a draw Sunday, June 21, 2019, evening to a close I am Glad to be back into the swing of things. Bing is napping in his favorite chair well I get ready to close up shop for the night in hopes to return tomorrow to write more. From July 8, 2019 through July 21, 2019 I still have more to catch up on but it is getting late and I am getting tired. I am going to say good night and God bless and come back tomorrow when I have some time free. Good night.
