Since R Family Care Services LLC was dismissed (fired) Friday, the company My Choice Wisconsin we hired seems to do much more without any problems. I do not have to worry about things being taken or missing. One of the girls took money from my laundry quarters. Also, one of the girls smokes marijuana, and I cannot have it in my home. I cannot complain to IRIS Ombudsman DRW because R Family Care Services LLC is a private company, not IRIS affiliated. Clients of IRIS call companies for help. I was running out of options, and My Choice Wisconsin was my last resort so I could continue to live in my own home/apartment. I love it here even though I cannot do anything for myself now. I need treatment for my foot before being fit for a leg brace.
Tuesday
I got a call from my TMG nurse MD telling me that the doctor had not signed the paperwork and faxed it back. I called my doctor’s office at Mercy South, talked to a receptionist, and explained the need to have the paperwork for PC hours signed and faxed back. It was done, and yesterday I heard from my IRIS consultant through a text. She said that the paperwork was signed and faxed. I was relieved, yet unhappy, when the nurse told me that if that paperwork were not signed, I would lose my PC (personal cares)( by PC hours as of Feb 26, 2023. What shocked me more was her calling the doctor’s office herself. Her calling my doctor’s office was not necessary. She could have texted me what was going on, and I would have called the doctor’s office myself instead of sounding frantic about the paperwork not being signed and calling me about losing my PC (personal cares) by Feb 26, 2023.
