Today was a very relaxing day for me really. I had a biopsy (2nd one) on my kidney yesterday morning and was gone from home from 6 AM to almost 6 PM. The preliminary results of the procedure showed that my kidney disease has worsened a little bit from my biopsy (1st one) on February 1, 2016. I did not do much except take a needed and definitely wanted shower after not having one yesterday due to the fact I was in Madison all day I wanted shower after not having one yesterday due to the fact I was in Madison all day. It was relatively quiet for the most part of my day and good.
Now I am gearing up for a another appointment tomorrow morning at 11 AM and then my wormer from IDS (Independent Disabilities Services), who happens to be a DSP (Direct Support Professional) DB will come and help me with my laundry and some cleaning. Since my Monday was a very busy day and no shower gal or DSP, my normal schedule has been a little revamped and so my normal schedule will back to normal on Monday…hopefully.
All in all, it was a very good day. I cannot complain about anything at the moment or at any time really. I know things are going fast and it feels a little overwhelming I do have to admit that God is in control for a good and wonderful reason, and I am allowing Him to do so, but in reality my feelings of overwhelm has become a blessing at this time of my life. When I was seventeen years old and was thrust into a whirlwind of medical procedures for a few months before my first kidney transplant on March 12, 1988, I did not understand God’s plan for me but today I understand better and I have a wonderful team of doctors, a wonderful coordinator, and know so many others by name and face after all these years. I consider my transplant team “The Dream Team” as they themselves called themselves “The Dream Team”. I like that!
I am going to say good night for now and come back again tomorrow or another. It has been a fine day.
