The other day, which I believe was Friday, January 20, 2017, I had emailed my mom’s husband LLL about my thoughts and feelings about Donald Trump being our 45th President of the United States. This is what I wrote to him:
I love the Trump picture with you added to it. That is awesome. Burbank Plaza, my residence, is not for Trump. I have been hearing this and that happening and this and that is going to happen now that he is going to President. First, I do not believe these Trump haters/Democrats in this building. I have not totally resigned to stay in my apartment ALL the time because I do need to get out to go to the grocery store or an outing that has planned or to church but I sure have resigned to hearing the Trump haters twisted misunderstandings of what Obama has done and what they think Trump is going to do. Thanks to Obama, the past 8 years, has brought so much hatred towards people with religious beliefs, blacks and whites against one another, political parties are against one another, ISIS having people in our country come and kill, we have terrorism since 2001, and yet this hatred is so strong it makes me so sick. Trump’s so-called accusations and people are already wanting him to step down and serve as our 45th President of the United States is flying all over the internet on every social media site among my friends and mutual friends, Twitter, and through messaging and texts. I have been avoiding political concerns and conversations with my neighbors and only talking to family about this like Mom.
This is what I have been hearing:
We are going to lose Social Security
We are going to medical care
Trump is going to the next President going to killed by angry people
He is not a Presidential material or a good businessman
We are going to lose federal funding for apartments like Burbank Plaza
This is how bad people hate Trump. I am so glad Obama is out of here with or without his tail between his legs. We do not need illegals in our country! I will understand when people come over here with the proper documents and papers. Like we did when we visited Germany in 1991. Today, though, I would not travel outside the United States and Canada with all the hatred and ISIS trying to attack countries and our own. I AM NOT a Trump hater whatsoever. I am hating all the bad talk about him and the Republicans who voted for him. Hello…I voted for him! Dad Bob is grateful that Clinton didn’t get back into the White House. I am glad, too. Having our first U.S. President being a woman is not a good choice. I fully understand women being Presidents of clubs and such, but not run the entire country. That a is where I believe a man holds office better as a President of the United States. I do remember years ago we would have had our first female VP if the gentleman who was running for President at the time won but he didn’t. I do not even remember having and hearing so much hatred all my childhood and today the hatred I see and hear is so bad. I just wish people would just stop talking about how bad Trump is going to do! His first full day as President of the United States begins tomorrow as today is his inauguration as President of the United States. I did enjoy hearing him talk last night. We do need our country back, Papa.
Please tell me your thoughts, okay? I understand politics are hard to talk about but I am feeling a little cornered here with Trump haters in the same building as me!
Please beware of some words that may/will be offensive as my mom’s husband will speak his mind on politics as most people have because politics is one subject that can very touchy. This is his reply:
Calm down. Stay away from Democrats and Trump haters. Surround yourself with people with the same beliefs you have, like we do. Whenever I talk to someone who is a Trump hater, I block them from my Facebook, or block them from texting or calling me. I don’t want to talk to those terrible people and I don’t want any friends that are Democrats. Democrats would like to destroy the Constitution. Republicans are the true Patriots.
I have never seen the hatred in our country this bad either, and it all happened because we had a black president. He was not voted in because he was a good senator, or politician. He was a terrible senator and never showed up to vote on anything, spent no time in office, just collected a paycheck and smoked dope. He got in for ONE reason. He was black. The idiots of this country wanted a big change and they thought putting a minority in office would give them that change. Well they got change all right. Pocket change. He divided the country literally in half with the nigger haters on one side and nigger lovers on the other side. He will go down in the history books as the worst president we ever had (surpassing Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton), but the legacy he left behind was a divided country, and Trump has to deal with it.
You’ll notice only the Democrats RIOT. Republicans never RIOT. What does that tell you? Republicans have never rioted at a Democratic convention or speaking. But Democrats do it at EVERY Trump visit or speech. What does that tell you? Republicans freed the slaves while the Democrats wanted to keep them as slaves. History tells you what racists Democrats are and they accuse US of being racists. Obama would make anyone hate niggers. There are niggers and there are black people. Obama is a Nigger. The only reason the democrats wanted Hillbillery in office was to have the first woman president. Never mind that she’s a criminal. They always want the president for the wrong reason. Not what’s good for the country, but just to have a minority or a woman in as president.
Find a new group of friends. Do some research and find friends of Trump and friends of republicans and attend their social gatherings. Make friends of people that are like-minded. Only associate with Republicans that like Trump. He’s going to be president for at least four years, and if he does a good job, 8 years, so the nation is going to have to accept him eventually. If he does a good job, they’ll still never give him any credit because the hatred runs so deep. But we true patriots have to support him. We do not have to support the president but we do have to support the individual of our choice. I didn’t support Obama and I bad-mouthed him all the time. I’m glad I did, because the Democrats need to check their diapers. I think they shit their diapers and that’s why they are crying all the time.
Trump will never take away any kind of funding like SS (they used to say Obama was going to take away SS too, and he did bad-mouth it, calling it a hand-out when it’s really an entitlement (we paid for it).) But trump is FOR the American people. he will make Medicare better and you will not lose funding for federal buildings like yours. He would never do that to his people. Obama might, if he could away with it. But trump will never try anything like that. Keep the faith. Avoid negative people entirely. It’s your life. you can believe in anything you want to, even an invisible God. If you can believe in something as invisible as a God, you sure ought to be able to believe in someone you can see and hear!
Please understand that my life is not of a politician and I have seen a lot of hatred in the past eight years that could make me cry. I have always wondered why politics, religion, white versus black, Democrat versus Republican have to have problems. Now, I do not care if someone is a Democrat or a Republican, Liberal, or Conservative. I care about the riots and problems we have been having for a long time now, and whoever decides to riot because we have a President of United States that certain groups of people do not like we now have a President of the United States who marks our 45th in the United States. Barack Obama has run his two terms. Ever since the Presidential campaign began to the last two candidates Donald Trump versus Hillary Clinton there has been rioting from the very beginning. Yes, Clinton has said some awful things about Trump and Trump has said some bad things about Clinton. That behavior I do not condone no matter who the person is but since we have the “freedom of speech” allowed it was condoned on public TV and aired all over the country. I never watched the debates personally myself but have seen snippets of the debates on the news, Facebook shares, and while reading news articles. I have learned that we are so divided by politics. I live in a building that is filled with hatred towards our new President of the United States who has only been in office for one whole day and today has just begun in Wisconsin here. I have resorted to staying home most of the time and having less communication with tenants because of the talk that is going on about how bad Trump is going to fail and so much more. It makes me want to cry that tenants now base your association with them as a person who likes Trump or is a Trump hater. It is crazy around here. Painful stabs in the back for sure.
Please understand that I do not condone the language usage in my mom’s husband’s replied email to our discussion but I do understand his feelings about how much hatred he has seen in his lifetime has gotten worse just as much as I have noticed in my own life in the past several years, too. I can understand the name calling and his word usage even though I do not condone it. Politics is a subject that is very touchy for some people to get involved with, and it does bring the worst out in people you would think is imaginable or would never happen to you. So please, any Democrats who read this, please do not take offense to my entry today. I am only human and I do have feelings like everyone else, and I do not protest nor do I riot. I am one for peace, happiness, and rights for animals and people. I am not politically inclined like my parents are or most of the people in the country. I am a handicapped woman in her mid 40’s now, a kidney transplant recipient of 29 years and now the kidney is dying slowly because of age and time, and I live an apartment complex where tenants love to gossip and spread rumors. Last month and still today I am being gossiped about and the rumors are flying around like a wildfire in the forest that cannot be tamed fast enough. As I sit in my apartment all day I am never alone. I can get bored easily but I do have my life in social media.
As far as social media is concerned I find it my way of communicating with others what I enjoy most. I am a growing Christian and I do love God for good reasons. I have been a miracle from birth to the present time, and now I must see and hear hatred growing as the days and years go by with my heart that continues to strive for peace on earth and good will toward men. Spiritually I know that things are going to get worse and Jesus’ second coming continues to come closer. We are living in the last day of earth God created so long ago. I do understand that not everyone believes there is a God or has their own dealings with God so what I am saying here is from my own heart knowing there is an invisible being is God and He has gotten me this far through everything I have seen, heard, gone through in my own life to the present. We are never guaranteed tomorrow. I live the days I am given knowing I am being watched over by my own personal angels God has appointed to be my own personal angels. So… social media… I spread the Word of God in hope I can inspire others along the way in some way. I love to write for a reason and I believe with all my heart that God has given me the gift to write my thoughts, feelings, and reasons since talking directly with some people is indeed difficult. I could sit at my computer or with a pen and paper all day writing something like I am doing today. I am writing one of my longest diary entries ever in one swoop to thousands of keystrokes of a laptop keyboard right this minute. Even for the past couple of days I have been doing my best at finding the words to write but is can be grueling sometimes having to wait for the words to come as a wanna-be writer. When it comes to social media I do not sit around all day to be pushy, mean, or nasty to others because of their belief system. I just do not like the hatred that goes on. I have my own problems to contend with daily, health issues to get ironed out, and move on in my life with or without people.
